With body-worn microphones and a responsive technical system that captures the dancers’ movements, the dancers modulate and generate the soundscape in real time. The work unfolds in a borderland between choreography and sound, between the digital and the bodily, and explores how choreography can create sound within a landscape in continuous transformation, where figures, energies and states appear, dissolve and begin again. Deep Leap seeks to offer a hypnotic and somatic experience where listening becomes physical and perception is gently unsettled. A shared space for presence, resonance and imagination that navigates our technological present without losing the human, the bodily or the soulful.
